Revamp for much needed bus shelter in Fulford

Cllr Keith Aspden and new Crossfield Crescent bus shelter
The bus shelter at Crossfield Crescent, in the Fordlands Road area of Fulford, has just been refurbished this month. Following calls from Liberal Democrat councillor Keith Aspden on behalf of local residents, the bus shelter's glass has been replaced, and it has also been repainted and given a general tidy-up.
The £1,800 funding, which has allowed the work to be completed over the last month, came from the local Heslington and Fulford Ward Committee.
Liberal Democrat Councillor for Fulford, Keith Aspden, said: "I am really pleased that these improvements have been made, as the Ward Committee is responding to my request and calls from local residents for this refurbishment. Crossfield Crescent is a well used bus shelter by local residents. I will continue to work in partnership with Fulford Parish Council for providing an additional bus stop on Main Street, and improving bus shelters at other locations in the local area."
