Cllr Keith Aspden in Prospect Terrace
Councillor Keith Aspden, the Liberal Democrat councillor for Fulford, has been campaigning to get improvements to local roads and footpaths throughout Fulford this year. In April, the Main Street end of Prospect Terrace was repaired after Keith helped find £2,000 funding from the local Ward Committee.
Thanks to plans put forward by the Lib Dem council team over £30,000 is also to be spent upgrading other roads in 2008-2009, such as the footways on Pasture Farm Close, Heath Moor Drive, Low Moor Avenue, Heath Croft and Tilmire Close, as well as improvements to Heslington Lane.
Councillor Keith Aspden said, "Local residents have told me how much better Prospect Terrace is now after the repair work, so hopefully work to the other areas will make a big impact. I will continue to work with local residents to call for road and footway repairs throughout Fulford."
