Councillor Jamieson-Ball at Hall Park
Households in Hall Park & the west of Main Street in Heslington are being consulted on proposals that will help to bring an end to years of parking problems in their area.
Local Liberal Democrat Councillor, Ceredig Jamieson-Ball, has worked with residents and the Council to bring forward plans to introduce a residents' parking scheme in the area.
Residents of both streets had complained that parking was difficult in their street during University term times, with some reporting that delivery vehicles found it difficult to access properties and driveways were sometimes blocked by irresponsible parking.
Cllr Jamieson-Ball said "I am pleased that residents are being consulted on a Respark scheme for their area. This is something that many people have requested, and I am sure that, particularly for residents in Hall Park, its introduction will be a relief after years of putting up with large numbers of university-related vehicles parking in their street.
"Residents in the affected streets have until 5th September to return their 'ballot' and make any other comments to the Council."
