This year's West Bank Park fair is aiming to get Holgate residents out to enjoy their local park with a wide range of stall and fun activities this weekend.
The fair will take place on Sunday 28 June, from 1.30-4pm and will see over 20 community stalls as well as a bouncy castle, climbing wall, musical entertainment and a falconry display.
Dog owners will also have the chance to enter their dog in a dog show, with categories including 'most adorable dog' and 'dog with the waggiest tail'.
The annual fair is organised by City of York Council in conjunction with the Friends of West Bank Park, and is funded by the Holgate Ward Committee.
Liberal Democrat Executive Member for Leisure, Culture and Social Inclusion, Councillor Nigel Ayre said the fair promised to be a great event for people of all ages. He said, "There is a fantastic variety of stalls and events at this year's fair and I'm sure that everyone will find something to entertain them."
"It is good to see events like this encouraging people to get out and enjoy the fantastic parks and open spaces that York has to offer."
No parking is available on site and all visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport.
