Children and young people in York are set for an entertaining summer, with a wide range of activities and events taking place to amuse people aged 5 to 18 during the school holidays.
There will be a wide range of arts, play and sports activities taking place across the city this summer organised by City of York Council.
Full details of all summer programme are set out in the latest edition of 'Schools Out' which was distributed to all schools before the end of term and is now available from City of York Council reception points.
Liberal Democrat Executive Member for Leisure, Culture and Social Inclusion, Councillor Nigel Ayre said the programme should have something to cater for everyone's tastes.
He said, "The a wide variety of activities on offer mean that I am sure people will find something they want to get involved with. Whether its spotting bats in West Bank Park or trying out the climbing wall at Oaklands there really is something for everyone."
"I'm sure many children and young people will want to make the most of their time off school and there is plenty going on to keep them amused."
Details of the programme can also be found on the Yor-ok website at www.yor-ok.org.uk/schoolsout.
