City of York Council are offering community art projects in the city a share of £10,000 to help them carry out their work.
Grants of between £100 and £1500 are being offered by the Council's community arts team - Arts Action York - to help boost community art in the city.
The grants have four main aims:
Liberal Democrat Executive Member for Leisure, Culture and Social Inclusion, Councillor Nigel Ayre said, "There are lots of great art projects in the city that are doing fantastic work in the local community. This funding should allow them to continue that work and expand it to benefit even more people."
"Previous projects run using this funding have been a great success and I am sure the projects that benefit this time round will have the same success."
Applications for this round of funding need to be submitted by 12 noon on the 10th of September.
