This month Council tenants in York are being given the chance to have their say about the services they receive from the authority.
2000 randomly selected tenants will be asked to fill in a questionnaire on their experience of the housing service and the results will be used to help shape future improvements in the service.
Liberal Democrat Executive Member for Housing and Adult Social Services, Councillor Jonathan Morley said the survey was a vital tool in shaping the service.
He said, "As part of the More for York programme we are looking in detail at how we can improve our services to council tenants. We are aiming to improve access to services, give customers a greater choice and provide a more efficient service."
"The results from the Annual Housing Satisfaction Survey will allow us to feed the experiences of tenants into this process to ensure that we are meeting their needs and responding to their suggestions for change."
"I look forward to hearing what people have to say."
Completed questionnaires must be returned by 30th November.
